Label: Island Records - ,UMC - • Format: CD Album, Reissue, Remastered • Country: Europe • Genre: Rock • Style: Psychedelic Rock. Spooky Tooth grew from the ashes of a British band named Art. As first albums go, this one isn't a bummer, but it isn't a stunner either. It contains the band's debut album plus a lot of bonus tracks. But you're better off getting the "Lost in My Dream" 2 CD anthology of Spooky Tooth instead. I bought this CD because I am something of a "completist". But I like it because it contains both the LP and single versions of "Sunshine Help Me", my favorite Spooky Tooth song/5(19). It's All About is the debut album of British band Spooky Tooth. The album was originally released in England by Island Records. In West Germany the record was released by Fontana. The American version of the album, entitled Spooky Tooth, was originally released on Bell in It's All About [Aka: Tobacco Road] is a music studio album recording by SPOOKY TOOTH (Proto-Prog/Progressive Rock) released in on cd, lp / vinyl and/or cassette/5(1). This full-length debut from British blues-rockers Spooky Tooth has a tone similar to Traffic with its psychedelic take on the influential pop and soul music of the '60s. A few cover tunes including Janis Ian 's "Society's Child" and the Nashville Teens ' "Tobacco Road" are included, but original songs like the soulful ballad "It Hurts You So" and "Bubbles" (with its Beach Boys sensibility) are the real standouts.

  1. As for It's All About, the album was known mainly for Spooky Tooth's version of the Nashville Teens' "Tobacco Road," which would become the album's title when released in the U.S. two years later. And even though "Sunshine Help Me" was the first song released from the album, the title track itself stands up just as well as any other cut from.

  4. Their debut, It's All About, was released in June on Island Records and was produced by Jimmy Miller, who was also the man behind the boards for Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith. The second album, Spooky Two (March ), also manned by Miller, gained some attention in the rock press but, like the debut, failed to sell.

  8. The debut album by Spooky Tooth is a pretty good little psychedelic rock album with some blues influence. It's definitely not anything huge but it'll most likely please the ears of the psych rock lovers more or less. Spooky Tooth's second album Spooky Two is often called as their strongest effort but this first LP is a pretty nice record as well.
